Sales engineering leader with 15+ years building and running enterprise pre-sales teams across data security posture management (DSPM), data discovery and classification, governance, identity security, and AI-driven analytics. Player-coach by design: hires, ramps, and coaches SE teams while personally leading discovery, demos, proofs of concept, and executive workshops with CISO, CIO, CTO, Legal, Compliance, and Risk stakeholders. Hands-on with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, and ISO 27001 in regulated enterprise deals. Career revenue impact above $100M across transactions from $300K ACV to $20M+ multi-year TCV. Experienced in channel co-sell motions, global system integrator alliances (Deloitte, KPMG), and disciplined deal governance built on MEDDIC and Challenger.
I started in security when the reference manual was the Orange Book. That grounding never left: before anything else, know where the data is, who can touch it, and what happens when they do.
From there my work followed automation as it grew up. First scripted automation, then robotic process automation at enterprise scale. In 2017 something changed: cloud AI and ML services stopped being demos and started showing ROI you could put in front of a CFO. I built my practice around that shift, taking machine learning document analytics into production for banks, insurers, and government agencies.
Identity came next. At SailPoint I managed enterprise sales engineers selling identity security into regulated industries, where data governance and access converged into a single question: who should be able to see what, and can you prove it?
That question led me to DSPM. At NVISIONx I lead solution engineering for an AI-powered data security posture management and data risk intelligence platform, running technical discovery, solution design, and hands-on proofs of concept in Linux-based enterprise environments.
The through-line across all of it: enterprises cannot secure, govern, or run AI on data they have not discovered and classified. That is the problem I have spent my career on, and it now sits at the center of the industry. Safe AI at scale starts with discovered, classified, governed data.
Away from work, my family runs a gourmet deli in central Illinois, and I still take a turn behind the counter when I can, because there is no better practice for this profession than helping people get what they came for.
